Tom Brady Left Patriots Because of Bill Belichick's Love of Jimmy Garoppolo
Doug Gottlieb: “How much of this was them [New England] wanting to move on, and how much of this was Brady wanting to move on?”
TJ Houshmandzadeh: “I think it’s a combination of both. We all want to feel appreciated and wanted, and I don’t think Brady felt that. It started a couple years back when he wanted an extension and it didn’t happen. What really kicked it off in essence was Belichick] wanted to get rid of him Brady and keep Jimmy G. Kraft had to step in. From that point forward I felt like their relationship was never the same… Belichick was basically going to ‘Lawyer Milloy’ and ‘Richard Seymour’ him Brady and get rid of him… I don’t believe Brady could ever get over that. It’s like your wife saying she’s going to date another man, and asking if you’re okay with it.” (Full Audio Above)

Listen to former NFL wide receiver TJ Houshmandzadeh, who first reported over a month ago that there was ZERO CHANCE that Tom Brady returned to New England, explain to Doug Gottlieb why he believes Bill Belichick’s esteemed support for former Patriots backup quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo was the reason Brady chose to skip town this week.

Two years ago it was widely reported that Belichick was pushing hard for the team to let Brady go, and for New England to keep backup Garoppolo.

Eventually Patriots owner Robert Kraft intervened and outright traded Garoppolo to the 49ers. A move Belichick was reportedly ‘furious’ and ‘demoralized’ over.

Check out the audio above as Houshmandzadeh details why Belichick’s love affair with Jimmy G ultimately created a wound that was too deep to ever heal when it came to Brady’s relationship with his head coach.

Check out the video below from February 7, 2020, as Houshmandzadeh has been right on the money about Brady's disillusionment with New England.
