Colin Cowherd: Tom Brady Will Resurrect Tampa Bay Buccaneers Franchise

Listen to Colin Cowherd explain why he believes the signing of Tom Brady will completely resurrect a dwindling Tampa Bay Buccaneers franchise who has struggled to stay relevant since their late 90’s/early 00’s golden era.

The Bucs collected stars the likes of Warren Sapp, Derrick Brooks, John Lynch, Ronde Barber, and Simeon Rice to build one of the greatest defenses in NFL history. Unfortunately for Tampa, they never had the quarterback talent in place to form a legitimate dynasty behind a defense loaded with Hall of Famers.

The Bucs haven’t won a playoff game since their run to the Super Bowl in 2003, when the team annihilated an Oakland Raiders team who had the number one ranked offense going into the big game.

Since then the team has mostly bottomed out with journeymen quarterbacks the likes of Jeff Garcia, Josh Freeman, Byron Leftwich, Bruce Gradkowski, Luke McCown, Brian Griese, Josh Johnson, Rob Johnson, and now botched number one overall pick Jameis Winston.

Colin says the Buccaneers are not an incompetent franchise like the Lions, Dolphins, Redskins, or Browns, and says they were literally just missing the quarterback when it came to their miserable last decade.

Check out the video above as Colin details why Brady will instantly electrify a previously disillusioned franchise.
