Dan Patrick talks in-depth about our current climate, as many businesses have been brought to a halt due to coronavirus. The unemployment rate continues to climb, and many people in high places from team owners, the president, and local representatives are trying to do their part by providing a realistic time table so that businesses can return as well as sports. Sports have been a substantial discussion to bring back as long as specific parameters are set to keep players and staff from contracting COVID-19.
Dan Patrick, however, thinks this point of view is becoming more and more distorted as it feels like people believe rushing sports back will jumpstart the economy when it's more about bringing fans back to sports:
“I don’t understand when we attached sports to jump starting the economy. You Jump start the economy through sports if you’re able to go to sports.”
