Teams Should Refuse to Let Patriots Trade Up For Quarterback Out of Spite
Jason Smith: “What are the odds that teams refuse to trade with the Patriots? If the Patriots try and move up to get Tua Tagovailoa, I wonder if teams are going to say ‘yeah, NO. We’re not going to trade with you because I’m not going to let you restart your dynasty. You have beaten up on us for 20 years, and get into the Super Bowl every other year. I don’t want to worry about going through you again and I’m not going to give you a franchise quarterback with the best coach in the NFL’… If Matt Patricia does it with his former team he would be considered the scourge of the NFL… Really, I wonder how many teams are going to say ‘We’re NOT trading with the Patriots just because I’m not going to be responsible for giving you a quarterback for the next 10-15 years that could allow you to continue to run your dynasty.'” (Full Audio Above)

Listen to Jason Smith explain why he thinks NFL teams could be hesitant to trade with the Patriots on Draft day, in the fear of letting New England acquire a quarterback in the first round that would give the franchise a better chance at continuing their dynasty.

Check out the audio above as Smith thinks AFC teams finally comfortable with not seeing Tom Brady as their biggest postseason roadblock, will think twice about letting the Patriots better position themselves for a dynasty reboot.
