Colin Cowherd Ranks His Top 5 Greatest Players in NBA History

Colin Cowherd: “In order: Michael Jordan, LeBron James, Magic Johnson, Kobe Bryant, and Larry Bird are the best players I have ever seen. I don’t count centers. Why would I count the least skilled position on the floor? It’s not about titles, and I don’t rank these guys on titles, I’m just telling you what my eyes have seen. Centers generally aren’t great ball handlers, they’re not great shooters, they’re not great passers, although Arvydas Sabonis and Bill Walton were. Basketball has moved away from centers and I like it. THANKFULLY it has moved away from centers. The least interesting people are centers. Rules should not help the least skilled people. The NBA said ‘our most skilled players are shooters and ball-handlers, let’s take out the hand-check'. It’s been 16 years and zero centers have won the MVP since.” (Full Video Above)

Listen to Colin Cowherd rank his top 5 greatest players in NBA history as Colin is going with Michael Jordan-one, LeBron James-two, Magic Johnson- three, Kobe Bryant-four, and Larry Bird-five.

Check out the video above as Colin details why he doesn’t believe Hall of Fame centers like Bill Russell, Shaquille O’Neal, and Wilt Chamberlain should ever be included in any countdown ranking the greatest players in history.
