Marshawn Lynch Says He's in Talks With Seahawks on Deal to Return in 2020

Divisional Round - Seattle Seahawks v Green Bay Packers

Free-agent NFL running back Marshawn Lynch still wants to play football. After a late-season comeback in which "Beast Mode" played just one regular-season game and two playoff games, Lynch said that his agent is in talks with the Seattle Seahawks to play in 2020.

"Well, it's almost on that 'expect the unexpected,'" Lynch told ESPN's Scott Van Pelt. "But just as far as right now, what I do know is, Imma keep it solid. My agent [Doug Hendrickson] has been in talks with Seattle, so like I said, we'll see what happens. If it works out and I get back up there, it is what it is."

Lynch sat out most of 2019 after retiring following an injury-plagued 2018 season in which he played just six games for the Oakland Raiders. Lynch was able to make a late-season return with the Seahawks in 2019 because every running back on their depth chart was injured going into the final week of the season.

While he didn't put up huge numbers on the ground, he did have four touchdowns in the three games he played.

Lynch turned 34 last month. He has rushed for 10,413 yards for his career, and 85 touchdowns.
