Clay Travis: These Are the Times Loyalty Is Built, MLB Better Not Blow This

Clay Travis is reacting to the potential plan that will hopefully take place to get Major League Baseball back into our lives. Spring Training would take place in Florida and Arizona, and the season would be shortened to 82 games.

In this proposal, the owners are offering a 50/50 split of the revenue, and the salaries of the players would be a prorated percentage of their original salaries based on the number of games that are actually played this season.

In response to this proposal, the MLB Player's Union have initially reacted in a very negative manner, and Clay doesn't understand why. Clay believes that an even 50% split of the revenue seems more than fair for both the players and the owners. Clay points out that there are millions of people in this country that have been impacted financially in the United States due to the Coronavirus, and Clay believes that much like the strike year when he was a teenager, MLB could lose a lot of fans if greed stands in the way of the game returning.
