Dan Patrick reacts to the supports shown for Bubba Wallace before the GEICO 500 started at Talladega Superspeedway yesterday. Dan says that addressing racism will be a team effort and that NASCAR should take notice in the number of people that have become interested thanks to Bubba Wallace.
Dan Patrick: “When he was there after the race and he looks great, he’s young. That’s what you want to be supporting, you want to be promoting it. He’s a household name, probably not for the reasons that he thought he was going to be a household name but a lot of people were watching yesterday. And if I’m NASCAR I certainly take notice of the number of people who are interested. He has the charisma, he has the look and if he is a good enough driver he’ll get a lot of attention for the sport, a sport that desperately needs that.”
