Big 10 Doesn’t Want to Lose Status

There are multiple reports that the Big 10 will vote today on resuming their season with a limited schedule. Dan Patrick believes they are feeling pressure to start their season and be considered for the College Football Playoff in order to keep their status as a power conference and maintain a recruiting advantage. They are hoping to get in enough games, including the Big 10 Championship, before December 20th when the CFP selection committee meets to decide the Final Four. But, despite a fair amount of optimism, the vote will be contentious and the outcome is uncertain.
