Rare for Good College QB Like Justin Herbert to Start Even Better in NFL

Clay Travis is reacting to the incredible Monday Night Football game in New Orleans between the Saints and the Chargers. The Chargers stormed out to a 20-3 lead over New Orleans, but it was Drew Brees and the Saints that came back and won the game in overtime.

The Chargers are no strangers to jumping out to big leads this season. They got out in front of the Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes, the Bucs and Tom Brady, and then again last night against the Saints and Drew Brees. The problem is, they ended up losing all 3 of those games.

There is a positive aspect however to all of this for Chargers fans, and that is their newcomer Justin Herbert. Herbert has been fantastic so far in his rookie season, and Clay says that he cannot recall a quarterback looking this much better in the NFL than they did as a senior in college.
