(Top to Bottom) LaVar Arrington, TJ Houshmandzadeh, and Plaxico Burress

FOX Sports Radio announced today the launch of a new national weekend show and podcast “Up On Game,” hosted by LaVar Arrington, TJ Houshmandzadeh, and Plaxico Burress – three former professional football players whose combined experience totals 29 NFL seasons, four Pro Bowl appearances, a Super Bowl title, and 118 touchdowns scored.

Each week on “Up On Game,” Arrington, Houshmandzadeh, and Burress will take on the latest hard-hitting sports topics for athletes while welcoming guests from the world of sports and entertainment. Utilizing their vast knowledge of football, the hosts aim to educate, inspire and entertain listeners and athletes of all ages, sharing their real-life experiences and stories, teachable moments, and candid discussions that will help players improve their game and perform at the highest level.

Launching Saturday, December 5, the show will broadcast live from 1 - 3 p.m. ET on 400 radio stations around the country, in addition to streaming live on the FOX Sports Radio channel on iHeartRadio, and being available weekly as a podcast on iHeartRadio and other platforms. The “Up On Game” podcast is distributed by The iHeartPodcast Network.

“I’m super excited to team up with my brothers to host this new show,” said Arrington. “TJ and Plaxico are sports cultural icons and legends. Not only do they have incredible knowledge and experience as former pro athletes, but they also understand how to mentor players. This show will break the mold and create a new way of thinking about athletes and sports topics.”

“LaVar, TJ, and Plaxico have such unique perspectives, which will make for a truly refreshing and entertaining listen,” said Scott Shapiro, FOX Sports Radio Vice President of Sports Programming. “This is not going to sound like any other sports-talk show. When these three-star football players take the mic, all with strong points of view, watch out!”

Former Penn State All-American Linebacker Arrington was the #2 pick in the 2000 NFL Draft. The three-time Pro Bowler played for the Washington Redskins from 2000 to 2005. He later joined the New York Giants before retiring in 2007. He joined FSR as a weekend personality in February 2020 and currently co-hosts the nationally syndicated “FOX Sports Sunday with Mike Harmon.” He previously hosted a radio program on WJFK-FM in Washington, D.C. for several years. Arrington is also a regular contributor to FS1’s “Speak For Yourself.”

Houshmandzadeh co-led the NFL in receptions in 2007 in one of his eight seasons as a wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals (2001-2008). The Pro Bowler also played for the Seattle Seahawks and Baltimore Ravens before retiring with the Oakland Raiders in 2011. He joined FSR as a weekend personality in 2018 and also serves as a regular contributor to FS1’s “Speak For Yourself.”

Burress most famously caught the game-winning touchdown with 35-seconds left in Super Bowl XLII, leading the New York Giants to a title over the then-undefeated New England Patriots. The wide receiver was drafted 8th overall by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2000 NFL Draft out of Michigan State. During his 12 seasons in the NFL, he also played for the New York Jets.
