Roethlisberger’s Steelers have lost three consecutive games after Parker called them the ‘worst 11-0 team in NFL history’, and the Steelers’ passing attack has absolutely flat-lined the last month of the season.
After throwing for 24 touchdowns and five touchdowns in his first 10 games, Roethlisberger has just 6 touchdowns and 5 interceptions in his last four, with passer ratings all below 83.0 in all four games.
Roethlisberger is reportedly planning to return and play in 2021 while playing out the last year of his contract, and cutting Big Ben would cost the Steelers roughly $22 million in dead cap.
At the moment, the 38-year-old is the third highest-paid QB in the league.
