Dan Patrick shares his thoughts on the University of North Carolina looking for a new coach for their basketball program after yesterday's announcement that Roy Williams will be retiring from coaching after 33 seasons in college basketball and 18 seasons with the Tar Heels. Dan explains that he doesn't want to get into who the candidates could be for the job but a name that might pop up is Brad Stevens. Dan thinks that Stevens name could be on the list but unless he gets fired or leaves the Celtics it is unlikely he will go to North Carolina especially considering Stevens said he wasn't interested in the Indiana job. Dan goes on to say that the Tar Heels need to find the right guy for the job because coaches who come to North Carolina are there for a long time and the job is not a stepping stone to the NBA or another college team.
