Charles Barkley: It's Championship or Bust for the Nets

Charles Barkley: Nets Need a Championship or Their Season’s Not a Success

TNT NBA Analyst and Naismith Hall of Famer, Charles Barkley joins Dan Patrick on The Dan Patrick Show. Sir Charles weighs in on all the storylines in the NBA Playoffs. He talks about the pressure on the Nets, the crazy Western Conference and where LeBron James would rank on the G.O.A.T. list if he were to win another title this year. And, of course, he regales Dan with some legendary stories from his own illustrious career.

Seton O’Conner:“Which player has the most pressure on him in this year’s postseason,Luka Dončić, Joel Embiid,Nikola Jokić, Giannis Antetokounmpo, or James Harden?”

Charles Barkley:“Well, it’s an easy question. It’s James Harden. The Nets got the most pressure of any team in the NBA. They have to win a Championship or their season is not a success.”

Dan Patrick:“And I said you got to put in Paul George as well.”

Charles:“That’s a fair thing but Giannis, and I’m telling you something, Giannis and James Harden and Paul George, those three guys got the most pressure. I think two of those guys got to get to the Finals…it’s Brooklyn and Milwaukee. Both of those teams got to at least get to the Finals or it’s been a disappointing season.”
