Doug Gottlieb supports all athletes focused on their mental health, but is concerned some are simply using it as an excuse. Much like athletes who use their children and family as excuses, Doug has to wonder if some of these athletes claiming mental health issues have ulterior motives. Bringing up mental health when it doesn’t really apply affects the perception of those dealing with real problems.
