The Lakers Roster Comes Down To One Question

The Lakers Roster Comes Down To One Question

As NBA Free Agency kicked off with the usual flurry of moves, many critics of the Los Angeles Lakers roster noted the advanced age of the players that would be joining LeBron James & Anthony Davis in LA, even forcing LeBron to tweet (and delete) a message to those critics. Listen to Dan Patrick explain why the age problems on the Lakers roster are not what will ultimately decide the team's fate for the next season!

Dan Patrick: "This comes down to - can Anthony Davis stay healthy? That's it. I know LeBron will. I know Russell Westbrook will. If Anthony Davis is healthy, then they have every right to think that they're going to play for a championship. The other players, 'what did you say about us, what are people saying about us? Oh, I don't know, this roster but you guys should win the West!' Like, that's not a bad consolation prize when it comes to being critical! I don't know why LeBron got upset and tweeted out that message. I liked the roster last year, and you see what happened with that team...I think they got better. Then suddenly, it's like 'no, you didn't.' Now this team? Do I love Russell Westbrook, not on that team...but it may work! If it does, great...as it is now? That's the team to beat in the West. Not the Clippers, not the Nuggets, not the Jazz, not the Phoenix Suns, that is the team to beat because you have LeBron, AD, and Westbrook."
