RJ Bell and the Straight Outta Vegas crew reacted to a brilliant debut by Matthew Stafford for the Los Angeles Rams against the Chicago Bears this past weekend. The guys dissect the big picture with the Rams and are curious if the acquisition of Stafford is McVay's way of resetting the team for a realistic run at the Super Bowl or just another move to add to the long list of moves they've created since McVay started his tenure.
RJ Bell: "If you think about the Rams in general and then you thought about different decision making types, who would agree with the Rams' actions the last five years? Meaning, they signed Goff to an extension as quickly as they could and that mistake was major. They signed Gurley to an extension as quickly as they could, that was a major negative. They traded multiple first round picks for Ramsey, and multiple first round picks for Stafford, with a Goff already there that looked pretty good yesterday....In a way this is the way for McVay to get a reset. In a way he is able to wipe away the last couple years because, 'I didn't want to say it at the time, but I was held back.'
