On today’s “Straight Outta Vegas with RJ Bell,” RJ and AJ Hoffman reveal all the betting odds heading into the start of the NBA season. The Brooklyn Nets are an interesting storyline heading into this season. On paper, they might have the best talent; however, PG Kyrie Irving refuses to get vaccinated, therefore putting his availability this season in limbo. Despite the possibility of missing a key player on their roster, the Nets remain the favorites to win it all this season.
RJ Bell: “To lose a player like Kyrie Irving, who is a Top 15 player in the league, and still be the favorite to win it all, is pretty fascinating. I don’t think we’ve seen anything like that before. Also the projected win total for the Nets, which is 55.5 games. A few years ago, there were six teams who were projected to win that many games. So, I think this is a testament to how load management has become such a huge part of the league. “
