On today's 2 Pros and a Cup of Joe, Jonas Knox, Brady Quinn and LaVar Arrington believe the timing of Urban Meyer's firing benefits the Jaguars who likely wanted to cut ties with their head coach before a potential winning streak against the lowly Texans and Jets. If he were at the helm, it becomes harder to fire him in his inaugural year, but if the Jags pull out an easy win or two without him, Shad Khan and the media get to blame the dysfunction of the organization on him.

Brady Quinn: "It's not the allegation of Josh Lambo. The timing of this is, if they were to win this week, I kind of find it hard to believe they were going to move on from him after winning another game."
Jonas Knox: "And by the way, you know how this is going to get spun. If they win this week and they probably will, because they're at home against Houston, 'See, it was all Urban Meyer, he was the problem.' And then if they beat the Jets afterwards, it's going to be, 'Man, I'm telling you, 2 in a row since he's gone.' And then they're going to get absolutely sideswiped by New England and Indianapolis and then the reality sets in. Oh, they're bad. This is a bad organization. They're a bad team."
LaVar Arrington: "There doesn't need to be any justification. They're bad."
