Why Tom Brady Has No Chance of Being MVP

In the video above, Chris Broussard & Rob Paker share their biggest takeaways from the New Orleans Saints defeating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday Night Football. To say the game was low-scoring was an understatement. Saints finished scoring 9 points total while the Bucs weren't able to put a single point on the board. This was an incredible feat since Tom Brady hasn't been shutout of a game in 15 years.

As we inch closer to the end of the season and the beginning of the playoffs, the MVP race is tight, and Las Vegas continues to keep Tom Brady at the top of the list. After a loss of this magnitude, however, Rob Parker feels secure that Tom Brady's campaign for MVP was lost in this game against the Saints:

Rob Parker: "I think he lost it (MVP) last night. It's one thing to lose to the Saints, which is fine—first time being shutout since 2006. They lost that game 9-nothing, and I get it, people were hurt, but that's when you show yourself. The one thing people always talk about with Brady and hang their hats on is that Brady does more with less. That's always been like a narrative...He's always had this thing that he could take anything that was thrown to him and kinda work with it but that didn't happen. And you can't use injuries all the time. Aaron Rodgers and the Packers went to Arizona who was 7-0 without his top 3 receivers, his tight end, his defensive coordinator, and they won a game.
