The Jaguars were on the verge of making Byron Leftwich their next head coach, but talks reportedly stalled over Leftwich wanting Shad Khan to replace GM Trent Baalke with Cardinals VP of Pro Scouting, Adrian Wilson. Friday on 2 Pros and a Cup of Joe, Jonas Knox, Brady Quinn and LaVar Arrington explain why these latest developments reveal what everyone in the league already knows, that the Jacksonville Jaguars are an absolute clown show.
Brady Quinn: "If you want to create change, it's going to be tough, it's going to be ugly, it's not going to feel good and it's going to take a little while too. But I don't think they'll ever get to that point because of leaving people like Trent Baalke still in place there who's going to kneecap whoever they bring in who's going to say, 'Wait a second, maybe Trent's not doing his job.' Next thing you know, you're getting canned because he's whispering and talking to everyone else about the bad job you're doing and it starts to be finger pointing. It's just a mess of an organization."
Jonas Knox: "They had a month head start on the head coaching search over everybody else and still don't have a guy. We don't even know if they have a GM or if they're moving on. The whole thing, just a complete clown show in Jacksonville."
LaVar Arrington: "This is a smart, prudent play by Byron Leftwich."
