Friday on 2 Pros and a Cup of Joe, Jonas Knox, Brady Quinn and LaVar Arrington wonder why and how Josh McDaniels and Dave Ziegler got rumored to be a package deal for the Las Vegas Raiders. If McDaniels gets the sense that Belichick is going to stay in New England longer than originally expected, then pairing himself with a GM that he trusts to a team on the rise, sounds like the smart move.
Brady Quinn: "Everyone thinks that Josh McDaniels is the coach in waiting but I'm wondering if it's not more the fact that maybe Bill Belichick is going to hang around until his son would potentially take over for him. And maybe Josh is getting a sense of that and is like, 'I'm going to go ahead and take this opportunity now to go work with a general manager that I think we can really have some success with and work well together.' And maybe a team that they view is on the rise in the great city of Las Vegas."
LaVar Arrington: "You're talking about a collective group effort where the main two people that are making the decisions are in cahoots and that's one of the only times I'll say colluding makes sense."
