It sounds like Tom Brady is hedging his bet as he tells Jim Gray that he isn’t saying never to a possible comeback. But Dan Patrick just doesn’t see a scenario where Brady would consider returning. He may get the itch again when camps get going in July and August, but it won’t be enough to bring him back.
Dan Patrick: “I’m guessing that in the back of his mind, or when we get to July and August when your body tells you, ‘Hey, get ready for football,’ then he’s probably going to have those thoughts. But I’m going to guess by then he will have convinced himself that look, this is the best thing for me and my family, and not come back and play. Is Tampa Bay going to hold out hope? You’re going to have Kyle Trask there and then all of a sudden Tom’s... ‘Hey Tom, why don’t you limber up a little bit, the kid doesn’t look that good.’ Tom’s going to come to the rescue again? I don’t see that.”
