Monday on 2 Pros and a Cup of Joe, the Seahawks turned down a trade offer from the Washington Commanders that included multiple 1st round draft picks for Russell Wilson. Jonas Knox, Brady Quinn and LaVar Arrington explain why timing is so important and the first domino that needs to fall is Aaron Rodgers making his decision.

Jonas Knox: "Do you think Seattle is maybe thinking, let's see how this whole thing shakes out with Aaron. Rodgers, because if he goes back to Green Bay, and we don't know what's going on with Deshaun Watson, all of a sudden Russell Wilson is the most coveted quarterback on the market; Seattle is being a little patient because they think they can get more after some of the dust settles on some of these other guys?"
Brady Quinn: "100% they're slow playing this... Two dates to keep in mind. Rodgers when he signs or what he decides to do, and how that impacts the quarterback market. Because that offer you would assume if he stays in Green Bay, is only going to get better from any other team that has inquired about Russell Wilson.
And then I think during the draft. Teams like to talk at this point in time, and then hold all their cards until they get up to the week of the draft. And then you see sometimes these big moves, big trades happen because they want to have the draft capital going into it and they feel like this is their last and best offer for some of those teams who are looking to do it.
Once Washington goes in the draft, if they haven't traded for a veteran guy, or they haven't signed Mitchell Trubisky, they're taking a quarterback, because they don't have any other recourse."
