Carson Wentz Was ‘Plan D’

The Washington Commanders traded for Carson Wentz from the Indianapolis Colts as the landscape of NFL hurlers continues to change. Many are unconvinced that Wentz is the answer in D.C. but Doug Gottlieb thinks it was a pretty good pull considering who is still available. He may not have been their ‘Plan A,’ but his credentials are nothing to sneeze at.

Doug Gottlieb: “The Washington Commanders, they had a plan. And you may not love it but this was not plan A, it was not plan B, I don’t link it was plan C but, for plan D, to get a guy who’s been a starting quarterback for more than a decade...I don’t think it’s terrible.”
