The Kansas City Chiefs traded perennial Pro Bowl wide receiver Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins today and it did not come as a complete surprise to Doug Gottlieb. He reminds us that there is a price for success, literally, and the Chiefs were basically forced to decide where to prioritize their financial commitments. With so much cash already going to QB Patrick Mahomes, among others, they had to make a sacrifice somewhere.
Doug Gottlieb: “The idea that they’re going to continue at this pace, when you have Pat Mahomes under that sort of contract, you got to figure out what you’re going to do at left tackle, at some point you can’t pay everybody!”
