New Las Vegas Raiders head coach Josh McDaniels spoke with the media this week did not sound very optimistic about getting a deal done with Derek Carr any time soon. Ben Maller thinks there's a decent chance that a deal doesn't get done at all for Carr.
Ben Maller: "The Raiders should not break the bank for Derek Carr...In the division, he's the worst QB in the AFC West. Does anyone disagree with that? Patrick Mahomes is the class of the division, a ways behind him is Russell Wilson, and then I would rather have Justin Herbert of the Chargers over Car...So you've got the worst QB in the division, are you gonna lock that guy up?"
