The aftermath of the spectacularly unsuccessful season from the Los Angeles Lakers is upon us, and it looks like Head Coach Frank Vogel is the one feeling the repercussions. But Dan Patrick reminds us that the Lakers have failed to make the playoffs in 7 of the last 9 seasons which is hardly the fault of Frank Vogel. This season was not an aberration; this is just who the Lakers are.
Dan Patrick: “Frank Vogel did the best that he could. They didn’t play defense. They were not inspired. And you can put blame...I’ll put blame on LeBron; I’ll put blame on the front office here, because this isn’t an aberration. I said, this is systemic when you think about how many times they’ve missed the playoffs in the last decade. 7 of the last 9 years they’ve missed the playoffs. It’s hard to miss the playoffs.”
