Rob Parker: It's Not a Fan's Place to Play Doctor With Ben Simmons

Chris Broussard and Rob Parker debate Ben Simmons continued absence from the court while the Brooklyn Nets are struggling in the NBA Playoffs. Many have been critical of Simmons for his decision to sit out game 4 of the Brooklyn Nets Series against the Boston Celtics especially since recent reports said Simmons would be good to go.

ROB PARKER - "I'm going to always side with the player who says they're hurt, because I haven't examined them - I'm not a doctor. Call me soft, call me an excuse maker...if a guy says he's hurt, I'm going to take him at his word."
CHRIS BROUSSARD - "You're soft! You're an excuse maker. Ben Simmons may very well be legitimately be hurt, but there were no physical signs of problems - it was mental that he didn't want to play. My personal opinion is that he's scared to go back out on the court."
