On today's edition of The Dan Patrick Show, Dan and the crew, like everyone else, took note regarding the number of pass catchers--along with positions that 'compliment and defend the passing game'--taken in the first round of the NFL Draft. Dan thinks it's no surprise where the NFL is headed in terms of the on-the-field product.
Dan Patrick: "The draft last night sent a clear message about where the NFL is headed because the first round was packed with players that either compliment the passing game or try to defend the passing game. The first four picks build around players trying to stop the passing game. The offensive side of the ball was a lot more active as I thought, and I said before the draft, 'If someone somebody was moving up into the top 10, they were going to move up to take a wide receiver..."
