76ers Still the Favorite in Game 6 After Poor Showing in Miami

Today on Straight Outta Vegas with RJ Bell, RJ and AJ Hoffman started off the show by peeling back game 5 in the NBA Playoffs between the 76ers and Heat. RJ zoned in on James Harden's 37 minutes on the court that produced only 3 free-throw attempts by the former MVP and a sense of lackadaisical play. But despite their horrid performance in Miami, the 76ers are still -2.5 home favorites in game 6.

RJ Bell: "Obviously Harden is showing his age this year. He played 37 minutes in Miami and they didn't have a chance to win. I don't get it. And remember, the next game they have to travel back to Philly. Let's look at the line for game 6 because it tell you a lot. Philadelphia is favored and it's by -2.5, and homecourt is usually -3. Miami was a -3 point favorite in game 5. So, it was a situation where the market considered these to be even teams. Now, back to Philly and it's only at -2.5, so the market is saying Miami is a little better. That's the margins we are talking about in these playoffs..."
