It was reported this week that the most popular bet by the public to win the MVP Award this season was Eagles QB Jalen Hurts. Ben Maller points out that not only is this a ridiculous notion, but it is actually unobtainable.
Ben Maller: "Common sense tells us that it is impractical to include Jalen Hurts as a legitimate MVP candidate. This is what's known as a sucker's bet. It is out of reach, for two main reasons: performance and competition. Now Hurts is a dual threat QB, but to win an MVP award, it has been proven over the years: if you're a running QB thats great, but you have to dazzle as a passer."
