Could the Lakers and Nets Help Each Other With A Major Blockbuster Trade?

Chris Broussard: “Kyrie Irving, for Russell Westbrook. Obviously you would reunite LeBron with Kyrie in LA, and Durant with Westbrook in Brooklyn. The Lakers would be phenomenal, because LeBron has shown he’s a great leader for Kyrie. I think the Lakers would do it in a heartbeat. On the other side, it would be tough because I don’t think KD or Westbrook want a reunion with each other, but at this point, it’s hard for me to believe KD would trust a guy who flat out didn’t want to play. At least KD could rely on Westbrook to be on the floor night in and night out. Plus, KD played some of his best basketball with Westbrook.”

The Odd Couple’s Chris Broussard, with special guest Ephraim Salaam, analyzes the possibility of a potential blockbuster trade between the Lakers and Nets. Broussard believes that it may be best for both teams to swap point guards Russell Westbrook and Kyrie Irving, for the benefit of both squads. However, it would take a lot of soul searching from both sides to pull it off.
