Zion Williamson and the New Orleans Pelicans have come to an agreement on a 5-year max contract extension worth up to $231 million. Ben Maller thinks this was a terrible move by the Pelicans because Zion does not deserve that kind of money with what he's done so far in his career.
Ben Maller: "If I was running the team, I would not just hand out these mega mega contracts just because somebody says you have amazing potential...essentially what New Orleans has done (until proven otherwise) is give Greg Oden a max contract. Zion Williamson has been unable to walk and chew gum consistently in an NBA uniform without getting a headache."
