The Broncos dropped their season opener against the Seattle Seahawks and, while many are blaming HC Nathaniel Hackett for pulling the offense on 4th down and attempting a 64yd field goal, Doug thinks QB Russell Wilson deserves some of the blame as well. After all, Russ has been in those spots many times throughout his career and failure under those circumstances indicates a team that’s under-prepared and sloppy in execution, which is a function of coaching and quarterback leadership.
Doug Gottlieb: “How your team plays in the most important moments of a football game, their ability to prepare, get everybody to know what they’re doing and execute; that’s coaching. That’s quarterback play. And they failed last night.”
