Not Pitching to Aaron Judge Is Changing History

Yankees slugger Aaron Judge is still stuck on 60 homeruns as he was walked four times last night in Toronto while his team clinched the American League East pennant. While it makes sense for the Blue Jays to pitch around him since they are battling for their playoff seeding, Dan wonders how the Orioles and Rangers will approach Judge considering both teams are just playing out a string and won’t make the playoffs. Their decisions will directly affect the history of Major League Baseball.

Dan Patrick: “At what point do you say I’m altering how I pitch to Aaron Judge because of history? And really, that’s what it is. You’re changing history by avoiding Aaron Judge instead of pitching to Aaron Judge.”
