Brooklyn Nets superstar Kyrie Irving tweeted a link to an anti-Semitic film last week and the uproar still hasn’t died down, especially considering his head coach Steve Nash was fired yesterday. Doug wonders why, if other players are getting suspended for posting gay slurs on social media, Kyrie seems to be getting a pass from the NBA? With around half of the NBA owners and the Commissioner all identifying as Jewish, it seems strange no action has been taken to discipline Irving.
Doug Gottlieb: “Once you go in on suspending guys for a gay slur, why wouldn’t you go and suspend guys for this? I totally understand (if) you feel like once we get into people’s Twitter accounts, we’re going into Pandora’s Box, but the box has already been opened!”
