The Atlanta Falcons lost to their NFC South rival Carolina Panthers on Thursday Night Football and Marcus Mariota's performance was awful. Despite the fact that the Falcons still have a chance at the playoffs, Ben Maller thinks it's time to give their rookie QB a shot.
Ben Maller: "With 7 games left, let's see what the much ballyhooed Desmond Ridder can do given the opportunity. Let's see what #4 can do. Now he wasn't a top pick, he was a 3rd round pick, but I heard a lot of bullcrap about this guy. Before the season they were pumping him up, so let's allow him to get his feet wet the next game."
