The NFL has had a flurry of injuries at the most important position, quarterback. The 49ers started Brock Purdy and beat future Hall-of-Famer, Tom Brady. Colin discusses with Sean Payton the importance of the backup quarterback:
Sean Payton: “And so, look, we're quick to judge every Monday. And this season, I think we're at 54 different quarterbacks who have started games. We're almost at a point on average, each team has started two different quarterbacks but we're not quite at that number 64 yet. But it's vital to your success and you either have the guy and if you don't, that's fine. Then you have to be that much better around them. You told us we can still win the ultimate prize and teams have done that, but then we have to be dominant on defense. We must have an outstanding ground game as well.”
