Today on The Doug Gottlieb Show, Dan Beyer & Aaron Torres discuss the Broncos firing HC Nathaniel Hackett. With only four victories on the season, Hackett’s run as head coach has ended and the guys explain to you that Hackett was probably relieved he was let go and while many wanted him fired early in the season, the end of his coaching tenure in Denver was inevitable.
Dan Beyer: “Nathaniel Hackett getting fired was inevitable. But ultimately what drew the line was when Brett Rypien and Dalton Risner were getting into an argument on the sidelines. This is offense yelling at offense, and that is how bad it got. That to me was the final straw.”
Aaron Torres: “We have enough of a sample size to know, and you go through the offensive stats — it’s terrible. I have no fundamental issue with his firing. There’s no reason to wait 3 years to know that he’s not the guy.”
