The Georgia Bulldogs won the College Football Playoff National Championship game in record fashion bagging their second title in as many years by absolutely destroying TCU on Monday night. The game was never in doubt, and the chances of any team outside of the SEC ever winning again are getting slimmer and slimmer as the NCAA’s NIL rules are only increasing the divide between the haves and the have-nots. Georgia just has more resources, better facilities and frankly, more money to spend on NIL deals for top tier players which should keep them at the top of the sport for many years to come.
Doug Gottlieb: “Georgia was a sleeping giant. Now they’ve awoken, and they’ve awoken in the era of the NIL...That is what the sport is going to become; the haves and have-nots...The NIL has balanced out the SEC, but there’s no balance outside the SEC."
