N.I.L. Is Contributing to Dangerous Behavior by Student Athletes

There have been a couple of high profile entanglements with the law for student athletes recently and Doug lays them at the feet of the NCAA Name, Image and Likeness rules. He thinks student athletes lack the maturity to properly handle their newfound wealth and many compensated players are now rolling in high performance vehicles and arming themselves as a result. This combination has turned deadly on more than one occasion now, and Doug anticipates more issues on the horizon.

Doug Gottlieb: “All of this, believe it or not, is related to N.I.L...And the idea that I have cash and everybody knows I have cash leads, I believe, many college athletes that are compensated to think, ‘I gotta protect myself, so I’m gonna arm myself.’”
