We have reached the penultimate games of the tourney and it appears tickets are going for less than face value on the secondary market. Doug Gottlieb is in Houston and while he expects some great competitive games, the rest of the nation seems disinterested in this year’s entrants. The television ratings are also expected to be well below average. With no Goliath left to slay, it’s much less exciting to root for David.
Doug Gottlieb: “This is one of those things that everybody says that they want and that they love, and then yet when it presents itself, they don’t really want it or love it...Everybody says they love a Cinderella, and yet you can get a ticket for $40 to come see a Final Four. This will not be a highly rated Final Four.”
