Today on 2 Pros and a Cup of Joe, Buccaneers LB Devin White has requested a trade and while some jokingly blame Baker Mayfield, timing is everything when it comes to this move.
Brady Quinn: "It's a tough position to be in at a very physical position, kind of similar to running back right, at least in regards to the physicality and the toll their body takes but they're just not valued the same way in today's passing game.
So I'm sure he'd rather try to look to go elsewhere where he can get a team to trade for him and if that team is going to give up draft compensation or players in exchange for him, they're going to want to extend him. They're not just gonna let him play under the fifth year [option]. They probably are trading for him knowing that he wants to be extended and they've got a framework of a deal worked out."
Jonas Knox: "Man Tampa Bay's gotta feel so fortunate they got that Super Bowl because it looks like it's going to be bleak here for a little while."
