Memphis Grizzlies swingman Dillon Brooks managed to talk some trash at Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James after game 2 of their 1st round NBA Playoff series and then managed to go 3-13 shooting, and get ejected for striking King James in the royal jewels. To top it off, he blamed the media for trying to make him into the villain. Dan is unimpressed with Brooks’ antics and feels like he should embrace being the heel, much like Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green. At least that way he can earn back some of the respect he’s lost in this series.
Dan Patrick: “Dillon Brooks is a wannabe. You want to be famous. Well, embrace it then! Be the bad guy! You don’t talk after the game? No! Embrace it! Are you a fake tough guy? ‘Cause that’s what it sounds like, ‘Hey, it’s the media did (this)...’ Did the media tell you to hit LeBron in the groin? ‘Cause I’m not sure. Help me understand that... Yeah, Pauly?”
