LeBron James Was a Different Kind of Great in Game 4

The Los Angeles Lakers took a 3-1 lead in their first round NBA Playoff series against the Memphis Grizzlies last night, highlighted by LeBron James’ clutch layup with .8 seconds to send the game into overtime. But before we start crowning LeBron as the G.O.A.T. for his performance, Doug reminds us that he wasn’t much of dominating factor throughout the game. But he was a great teammate, doing all the little things like blocking shots and rebounding that helped make his teammates better.

Doug Gottlieb: “Dude couldn’t make a shot, looked tired, struggled defensively but put himself in great position on defensive rotations, in transition where you have Ja Morant who literally is going to jump over him; he put himself in harm’s way! Like, that’s what great teammates do! And when you can’t make a shot, go help us out on the boards. He did!”
