Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson faced the media for the first time since he signed his contract after a protracted negotiation resulting from his public demand for more guaranteed money. Doug reacts to Jackson’s answers when asked about representing himself in those negotiations and how we got to this point after he had demanded to be traded. His explanation came across as defensive and immature as he dissembled and avoided responding directly.
Doug Gottlieb: “His response to why he wanted to do this process alone struck me as very mature. His description, or lack thereof, of how did we get from, ‘I want to be traded,’ to being at this point struck me as really defensive and immature. Nonetheless, Ravens got their quarterback.”
