Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant apparently learned nothing from his suspension and mandated therapy earlier this season for flashing a gun on social media because he was at it again over the weekend. He’s been officially suspended from team activities and it’s only a matter of time until the NBA hands down further punishment. It’s one thing to be dumb enough to make a possibly impulsive decision and get caught. It’s a completely different thing to get caught for doing the same again after already having been very publicly busted for it, and having already stood up in front of the media claiming you’d learned your lesson. Doug thinks it’s clear Morant is trying to live two different lifestyles at the same time and it’s destroying his credibility and career.
Doug Gottlieb: “Either he's trying to fool people with this gangster persona, or he’s fooled people with the ‘I’m a good guy’ persona. Whatever he’s trying to do, he’s fooled a lot of people. He’s basically (got) like two lives. It takes a special kind of con man.”
