MLB Is Giving Las Vegas Special Treatment

MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred admitted that Major League Baseball would waive the $300M relocation fee if the A’s moved to Las Vegas. Dan wants to know why Las Vegas is getting special treatment while Oakland was being asked to provide much more in terms of a new stadium deal. And he finds Manfred’s cavalier attitude towards the plight of Oakland A’s fans to be unnecessary and disingenuous.

Dan Patrick: “The commissioner said the league would waive the A’s relocation fee if they moved to Las Vegas. Hmmm... OK. Why the special treatment there? And did you ask Oakland to provide the same things as you provided Las Vegas? Because judging from what the mayor of Oakland said, that’s not the case. You were asking Oakland to do a whole lot more than you did Las Vegas.”
