Now that the NBA Draft is in the rearview mirror, Dan and the Danettes wonder if the defending champion Denver Nuggets, led by Finals MVP Nikola Jokić, or rookie sensation Victor Wembanyama’s San Antonio Spurs will get more nationally televised games next season. The Joker’s style isn’t very exciting while Wembanyama is a complete mystery to most NBA fans, so they conclude we’re likely to see more of the kid, especially when he matches up against guys like the Joker, Giannis Antetokounmpo and the other dominant big men in the league.
Dan Patrick: “Joker has become the best player in pro basketball right now, but it took a while. Victor, we’re waiting, we want to see him right away. I want to see how he’s going to do against some of these other big men...Now that’ll be a fun game, if you get Joker against Victor Wembanyama just to see how a veteran, and a rookie, and what the Joker will do, and what Victor Wembanyama will try to do. That would be fun. Greek Freak (Giannis Antetokounmpo) against Victor Wembanyama; that would be a lot of fun.”
